RV Rentals near Shenandoah, VA

Delivered, set up, and supported by a small Hampton Roads team. View the full Hampton Roads rental hub for fleet details, pricing, and FAQs.

Shenandoah sits at the far edge of our delivery radius. We have set up rigs at park campgrounds for guests planning fall foliage trips, summer hiking weeks, and Skyline Drive road trips. Because of the distance, Shenandoah deliveries are quoted individually and require a bit more planning, but we have made it work for several guests already.

Where we deliver

Top Shenandoah campgrounds we deliver to.

The three main campgrounds inside Shenandoah National Park, plus surrounding private parks. Big differences in elevation, amenities, and crowd levels between them.

Big Meadows Campground

The most popular spot in the park. Central location on Skyline Drive, near the famous Big Meadows itself. Full restrooms, dump station, no hookups. Excellent stargazing.

Lewis Mountain Campground

Smaller and quieter than Big Meadows. Tucked into the woods, more of a primitive feel. First-come first-served sites, so it works well for shoulder-season trips.

Mathews Arm Campground

Northern end of the park. Easier access from the DC and Northern Virginia side. Quiet, well-shaded, and close to the Overall Run Falls trailhead.

Local know-how

What you should know about Shenandoah.

Shenandoah National Park campgrounds do not have RV hookups. The rig runs on its own water, batteries, and propane the whole time. We send you out with full tanks and walk you through how to manage water, power, and waste for an unhooked stay. The Haven holds the longest in this setup because of the larger tanks and battery bank.

Fall foliage runs from late September through mid-October and is the busiest time of year. Park campsites often book six months ahead during peak weeks. If you want to RV through Shenandoah in October, reach out by April or May and we will help coordinate the booking.

Shenandoah deliveries usually pair well with a stop in Richmond on the way out or back. For full pricing and the fleet, head to the Hampton Roads RV rentals hub. You can also browse the RVs in our fleet: The Haven (best fit for unhooked sites), The Nest, BEBE, and Veranda.
