Your information, in plain English.

We are a small family business in Hampton Roads, not an advertising company. This page says exactly what we collect, who else sees it, and what you can ask us to do about it.

What we collect, and why

What	Why we have it
Your name, email and phone	To answer your question, send your booking confirmation, and reach you if something changes on the day.
Delivery address	To bring the RV to you, level it and set it up. Our driver sees this. It is not used for anything else.
Dates, party size and add-ons	To quote you accurately and stage the RV before you arrive.
Payment details	Handled entirely by Stripe. Your card number never reaches us and we could not see it if we wanted to. We keep a record that a payment happened, for how much.
What you write to us	Emails, the contact form and website chat, so a conversation makes sense to whoever picks it up next.
Phone calls and texts	Our business line records, transcribes and summarises calls so nothing gets missed. If you would rather not be recorded, say so and we will take notes by hand instead.
How you use this website	Which pages you read and what you click, so we can tell which pages actually help people. Only if you accept analytics. See below.

We do not sell your information. We do not share it with advertisers. We have never done either and we are not planning to start.

Cookies and analytics

When you first arrive we ask whether you are happy with analytics. Until you answer, none of it loads. If you decline, none of it loads at all. You can change your mind any time using the link at the bottom of this page.

Who else sees your information

Running a rental business means using other companies for the parts we do not build ourselves. Each of these sees only the part it needs.

Company	What it handles
Stripe	Payments and refunds. They hold your card details, we do not.
Supabase	The database your booking lives in.
Resend	Sends the emails we send you.
Anthropic	Powers the website chat assistant. What you type in the chat is sent to them to write a reply. Do not put card details in the chat, and it will tell you the same.
Beside	Our business phone line, including call transcripts and texts.
Netlify and Cloudflare	Serve this website to your browser.
Outdoorsy and RVshare	Only if you booked through one of them, in which case their privacy policy covers that booking as well as ours.

How long we keep it, and what you can ask for

How long	Booking and payment records are kept as long as we need them for the rental itself, and after that for as long as tax and insurance rules require. Enquiries that never became a booking are kept while they are still worth following up. Analytics is kept in summary form, not tied to your name.
Ask us what we hold	Email us and we will tell you, and send you a copy.
Ask us to correct it	Tell us what is wrong and we will fix it.
Ask us to delete it	We will, unless we are required to keep a record of a completed rental for tax or insurance. We will say plainly which parts we cannot remove and why.
Stop the analytics	Use the link at the bottom of any page and choose Decline. It takes effect straight away.
Stop the emails	Every marketing email has an unsubscribe link. Booking emails are part of the rental, so those keep coming while your booking is live.

Ask for any of it at bookings@compassncode.com and a person will answer you. We do not charge for any of this.

A few last things

Children	This site is meant for adults booking an RV. You have to be 25 or older to rent from us, and we do not knowingly collect information from children.
Security	Access to booking records is limited to the people who need it to do their job, and every privileged action is logged. No system is perfect, and we would tell you promptly if something went wrong.
Changes	If we change how any of this works we will update this page and change the date below. If the change is significant we will say so rather than quietly editing it.
