The Outer Banks sit just outside our home market but firmly inside our delivery radius. We routinely set up rigs at Cape Hatteras National Seashore, Oregon Inlet, Frisco Woods, and several private parks along NC-12. OBX delivery includes an extra fuel surcharge that we quote upfront.
The places we set up most often. Each one has its own quirks. We can talk through which fits your trip when you reach out.
The four federal campgrounds along the Seashore. Beachfront sites, no shade, beautiful. Reserve early through Recreation.gov.
Private park on the sound side of Hatteras Island. Full hookups, kayak launches, calmer water than the ocean side.
Resort-style amenities. Higher price point but pools, restaurants, and full activity programming for kids.
Federal campground on Ocracoke Island. Requires the ferry. Plan around ferry schedule when you book.
Shoulder season (May, September, early October) is the sweet spot for OBX. Weather is excellent, crowds are gone, and we can deliver more flexibly. We do not drive on the beach itself: OBX 4x4 beach driving requires a different vehicle. Check the bridge construction status before you book; sections of NC-12 are perpetually under repair.
