Most kids who age out of foster care leave with what fits in a backpack. No furniture, no kitchenware, no first month's rent saved up. Within four years, roughly half of them will experience homelessness or housing instability.
Tia is a therapeutic foster parent in Hampton Roads. Hearth and Home grew out of that work. We don't run the program ourselves. We fund it. Every booking that comes through Compass and Code contributes a portion to Embrace Therapeutic Foster Care, who place the kits and mentorship directly with the young adults who need them.
The contribution scales with performance. The more we book, the more kits go out the door. Renting an RV from us, partnering with us, or staying in one of our homes is a small thing, but it's a small thing that funds something real.
